I am rather new at the stay at home mom job. I have worked most of the time since I was around 16. Is it ever an adventure! I have three amazing children. Don't get me wrong, they aren't perfect. They embarass me in public, make huge messes and fight like cats and dogs. I would not trade them for the world. When I was young I had one brother who was 10 years older than me. It was sort of like my parents had one child two times. I was shocked by the noise level and all the other stuff that goes along with having more than one child. When my husband and I welcomed our first little one we were so excited to have our baby girl. We called her our precious Angel. We still call her that sometimes. It was wonderful welcoming that new little person into our lives. About 15 months later we welcomed baby number two and BOY did life change after that. Two in diapers at once, both wanting Mommy or Daddy to hold them at the same time. The list goes on. Around the time the kids were two and three years old respectively I decided to stay home with them. That lasted less than two years. It was.......not a disaster exactly, but it didn't seem to be my forte. I would meet my husband at the door everyday so anxious for a break. The children were doing well, but I was a mess. I did go back to work for a few years and now here I am again staying home with my little ones. While back at work we welcomed baby number three. As of today I am the proud mother of a nine year old girl, nearly eight year old boy and a three year old baby boy (okay, so he isn't a baby....he is to me though). I must say this: being a stay home mom is alot of work. I'm a chauffer, stylist, counselor, playmate, tutor, coach, social director, maid and of course I am a wife. I am also caring for my grandmother. This go round I am determined to do a great job....at all of it. I WANT TO BE SUPERMOM!!!!! I plan to use this blog to chronicle the successes and failures of my quest.
